What people ask before booking PPF
What does hand-cut from bulk roll actually mean?
Most shops buy precut kits: a plotter cuts the film to a database pattern, then the installer lays the pieces on. Patterns leave gaps at edges and seams where two pieces meet. We roll bulk film onto the panel and cut it on the car, so each piece is trimmed to your car, edges wrap around the panel instead of stopping short, and there are no seams for dirt and light to find.
Which film should I choose?
The Standard is the everyday film with a five year warranty; it is what the package prices on this page reflect. Ceramic Shield adds a ceramic top coat that self-heals with heat and beads water like a fresh ceramic coating, with a ten year warranty. It runs close to double the Standard price. If you keep your cars a long time or wash them yourself, ask about it.
Do I need full-body coverage?
Not usually. The front of the car takes almost every hit: hood, bumper, mirrors, headlights. That is the Essential Front package. Full Front adds the fenders, and the pillars package covers the A-pillars that catch gravel on the highway. Full Vehicle is for the people who want the whole car protected and keep it for years.
What if there is a seam?
There will not be, and if there is, we redo the panel free. Zero-seam install is the standard here, not an upgrade.
Can I get tint and PPF in one appointment?
Yes. Drop the vehicle once and protect the glass and the paint in the same visit. Ask for a combined quote.
Is PPF worth it in Michigan?
Michigan is one of the strongest cases for PPF anywhere: road salt, plow gravel and freeze-thaw debris attack paint five months a year, and a chip that exposes bare metal becomes rust. Film takes those hits instead.
